On offer is a signed Mexican vintage sterling silver & abalone shell pin back brooch c. 1940s-1950s.
The marking on the back body portion of the brooch reads “Puente Alpaca Sterling” in the Taxco circle style backstamp with the artist’s initials in the middle, “MC”. You can also see the “T” and the “o” on the back from the Taxco name, however the pin brooch mechanism covers the rest. There is another stamp on the backside of the tail feathers portion of the brooch that is an engraved face, which is either a second artist stamp, or it could be a regional stamp.
This pin-back brooch is in excellent vintage condition. Please see photos for more info.
Measures approximately 1″ tall by wide by 7/8″ wide.
